fun facts.

heeheee.. just found out many silly facts recently..

first, this Densha Otoko (Train Man) comic i bought for only Rp 5000,- at the bookfair


is actually has been made into a movie and a drama series.
wow. and guess what it's all based on true story.. wow.

this tells us a story about an otoko (someone who is a maniac of something. such as game, internet, anime) who fall in love at the first sight with a girl he saves on the train. as an otoko, he is so shy and has no confident. he just tells his story and love to his virtual friends on chatting. but then, all his friends support him and tell him not to give up and chase the girl. with all the help, the train man struggling so hard to win the girl's heart.

i love the comic, it's a very easy-understand story. and also the movie. it's a nice light romance movie. apparently, there's a different between the movie and the comic. but still, i like the funny expression of the chat virtual friends, and their daily life as an otoko. i actually don't expect the train man is too shy and nervous. he is so stutter when he talks to the girl.. yeah, it's a recommended movie for u to watch at your spare time.

then, i also spent my holiday by reading novels that i haven't touch since the day bought.. hahaha.. some of them is novels from Diana Wynne Jones. i have 2 novels that written by her : charmed life and howl's moving castle. i read Charmed Life first, but i felt bored with the story. so i think that Howl's Moving Castle was as boring as Charmed Life, and i didn't read it until last week. and guess what, Howl's Moving Castle is awesome. i love the romance-fantasy atmosphere, funny and unique characters. and i fall in love with Howl.. aaaaa... i first thought that Howl will be an old, grumpy wizard. but then, he is actually a handsome (haa, this is only in my imagination), romantic, mysterious, loving wizard. i like it when he took care of michael and calcifer, and his gentle treatment of grandma sophie. and also when he gets depress and act pampered as sophie mess his hair..aaa..
then, i imagine if this novel made into a film. well, it will be a very great twist movie..hahha.. and i curious of Howl's look..aaaaa..
and then, i read another neglected novel : The Unfortune Miss Fortunes. and it stated on that novel that yes, there IS a movie of Howl's Moving Castle..waaaa...

i immediately search and download it on the forum.. and i just finished watching it. well, as usual there are many differences between the novel and movies.

i enjoy the first 30 minutes, but after that i confused cause the story in the novel is turn around. in the novel, Howl's faced the witch from the wastes in a battle, but in the movie the witch is become powerless because of Suliman king. and i disappoint that there isn't any twist ending that i expect to much. but still, it made me falling even more in love with Howl.. hahaha..

ready to teach?

just read an interesting article 'Top Ten Tips For Student Teachers' here.hahaha.. well, my years in UNJ was passed by so quickly. in glance, just a semester to go to PPL (being a student teacher in school).. haaaaahhh. hope these tips work on you..

1. Be On Time

Punctuality is very important in the 'real world'. If you are late, you will definitely NOT start out on the right foot with your cooperating teacher. Even worse, if you arrive after a class has begun which you are supposed to be teaching, you are placing that teacher and yourself in an awkward situation.

2. Dress Appropriately

As a teacher, you are a professional and you are supposed to dress accordingly. There is nothing wrong with over dressing during your student teaching assignments. The clothes do help lend you an air of authority, especially if you look awfully young. Further, your dress lets the coordinating teacher know of your professionalism and dedication to your assignment.

3. Be Flexible

Remember that the coordinating teacher has pressures placed upon them just as you have your own pressures to deal with. If you normally teach only 3 classes and the coordinating teacher asks that you take on extra classes one day because he has an important meeting to attend, look at this as your chance to get even further experience while impressing your dedication to your coordinating teacher.

4. Follow the School Rules

This might seem obvious to some but it is important that you do not break school rules. For example, if it is against the rules to chew gum in class, then do not chew it yourself. If the campus is 'smoke-free', do not light up during your lunch period. This is definitely not professional and would be a mark against you when it comes time for your coordinating teacher and school to report on your abilities and actions.

5. Plan Ahead

If you know you will need copies for a lesson, do not wait until the morning of the lesson to get them completed. Many schools have procedures that MUST be followed for copying to occur. If you fail to follow these procedures you will be stuck without copies and will probably look unprofessional at the same time.

6. Befriend the Office Staff

This is especially important if you believe that you will be staying in the area and possibly trying for a job at the school where you are teaching. These people's opinions of you will have an impact on whether or not you are hired. They can also make your time during student teaching much easier to handle. Don't underestimate their worth.

7. Maintain Confidentiality

Remember that if you are taking notes about students or classroom experiences to turn in for grades, you should either not use their names or change them to protect their identities. You never know who you are teaching or what their relationship might be to your instructors and coordinators.

8. Don't Gossip

It might be tempting to hang out in the teacher lounge and indulge in gossip about fellow teachers. However, as a student teacher this would be a very risky choice. You might say something you could regret later. You might find out information that is untrue and clouds your judgement. You might even offend someone without realizing it. Remember, these are teachers you could be working with again some day in the future.

9. Be Professional With Fellow Teachers

Do not interrupt other teachers' classes without an absolutely good reason. When you are speaking with your coordinating teacher or other teachers on campus, treat them with respect. You can learn a lot from these teachers, and they will be much more likely to share with you if they feel that you are genuinely interested in them and their experiences.

10. Don't Wait to the Last Minute to Call in Sick

You will probably get sick at some point during your student teaching and will need stay home for the day. You must remember that the regular teacher will have to take over the class during your absence. If you wait until the last minute to call in, this could leave them in an awkward bind making them look bad to the students. Call as soon as you believe you will not be able to make it to class.

hahha... akhir akhir ini lagi menjamur banget yang namanya drama korea. garagara drama itu, musik2 korea,artisnya, juga kebudayaannya juga mulai merambah di Indonesia.. ya, trend korea ini sbtulny uda mulai dari jaman saya SMA. temen2 uda banyak yg mulai menggilai korea, salah satunya jiji, temen sma dan kuliah saya. dia bener2 kerajingan sama korea. mulai dari drama,film,musik,artis2nya.

gmana dengan saya? saya cuma nonton 1 drama korea, yaitu fullhouse. hehe..kagum sama cerita romantisnya si song hye kyo sama rain.. setelah itu mulai menjamur deh film2 kayak princess hour,my sassy girl dkk, yg kata temen2 sya seru. mulai lah bermunculan orang2 demam korea disektr saya. saya mash ga ketularan, dan adem ayem aja dengan film2 hollywood, tv series barat, dan westlife.hehe

sampe kuliah, wal semester 3 ini,saya menemukan temen yg sama sama westlife mania.. hahaa.yaitu kinan dan tara, bareng dewi kita sering karokean westlife. gw dan tara jga ering hunting DVD hollywood di glodok. sampe awal semstr 4, si tara mulai ketularan hobi drama korea. saat itu lagi demam2nya BBF (boys before flower), meteor garden versi korea. sya sebetulnya agak males nonton, ngeliat pemaennya alay2 (mnurt saya),aneh deh. dan sya masih bernaggapan kalo jerry yan itu paling keren jadi dao ming tse (gu jun pyo, koreanya) dibanding si lee min ho. jerry yan tuh lebih keliatan keren,cowok banget, kejam, kligus romantis. hahaha

bukannya ga sama sekali nengokin tuh BBF, sya juga pernah coba ngikutin serialnya di salah satu TV (fyi, this BBF drama has been repalyed 3 times. wow). tapi kok jatohnya bosen. sya ngerasa tuh drama korea tokoh2nya jarang ngmong. paling ngmngnya cuma sebentar trus kbanyakan adengan diem. dan bagi sya itu mahal ngebuat bingung. ini lagi adegan apa sih. udah gitu si ji hu, apa siapa tuh yg jadi hua zhe lai tuh idungnya pesek kayak sule.. hehehe (maaf bagi penggemar korea, bukan maksud negejk, cuma ini yg saya pikirkan aja loh).

yah kira kira ampe semester 5 sya ga terpengaruh sama kekoreaan. kadang2 sya juga pengen gitu nyambung kalo tara,dkk (kinan dewi jg tau tntang korea) lagi ngmangn korea dan dramanya. aduh gw bener2 ga nyambung. kepengen bilang ke tara, ayo tularin gw dong.. kalo lagi pada ngobrol, kepengen nanya juga eh, apa sih film apa, ceritanya gimana, tapi kasian jg temen gw msti ngejelasn pnjang lebar. walaupun si tara kadang2 sih cerita kalo abis nonton drma yg menarik.

nah akhir2 ini sebuah stasiun TV swasta muterin drama korea yg judulnya bread, love and dream (aslinya baker kim apa ya). cerita tentang anak yg namanya tak gu yang baru ketemu ama bapak kndungnya tapi gak diukai sama keluarga baru si bapak ini. awalnya ceritanya cuma gitu2 doang, gw menganggap si tak gu kecil ini nyebelin.. ahaha.. sok baek.. ma jub jg gak jelas. trus gw jarang ngikutin jg tuh, sekali sekali sih nonton (ibu sya seneng banget sama drma yg satu ini). lama2 si tak gu dan ma jun dewasa. dan ya ampun ma jun cakep banget.. hehehe, dan saya malah berpendapat tak gu alay..hahha

dan ya ceritanya berkmbng. si dua anak ini bersaing dalam hal skill mebuat roti dan memperbtkan cewe yg namanya ju kyung. dan ya, harus sya akui, critanya jadi keren.. (walaupun gak bener2 ngiktn)... gw suka saat ma jun memperlakukan yu kyung dngan ksar dan romantis. pura2 sok keren padahal butuh banget yu kyung dan sayang banget.. huaaa.. this kind of romance really kill me. ma jun jg bsa mnjadi sngat jahat soal tak gu,, nyebelin banget deh kalo ma jun lagi jahatin tak gu. dan ya tak gu itu baek banget, banget banget. dan dia semakin keren.. (walaupun gw akan jatuh hati lagi ke ma jun saat dia lagi sama yu kyung). --> karna pnasaran sama ma jun gw mncari gambr2na di alamat biasa, dan sbtulnya gw agak ilfill krn amnukan dia berfoto dan brgaya agak cantik/kecewek cewekan.

akhirnya yg jadian ama yu kyung adalah ma jun.. dan ya, ada suatu line pecakapakan tak gu dan ma jun yg gw baca disini. bunyinya : -"Malam saat mereka berdua berada di dapur PBB, Ma Jun bertanya kepada Tak Gu kenapa dia masih bisa tersenyum padahal semuanya direbutnya, dari ayah, ibu bahkan Yu Kyung. Apakah kamu tidak punya hati atau bodohkan? Apakah kamu baik-baik saja?. Tak Gu menjawab bagaimana dia baik-baik saja, aku perlu hidup. Selama aku hidup, segalanya tidak akan berakhir begitu saja. Hanya karena hari ini bagus, hidupku tidak akan berakhir. Begitupun saat hariku buruk. Hal baik dan hal buruk datang silih berganti "- (PBB nama toko roti tmpt tak gu dan ma jun lomba buat roti). and yeah, that line really makes me cry... tak gu !!!

hihihi...dan sya pun menyadari yah, akhirnya ketularan korea juga..hehhee
